He is survived by: his wife Sjuwana Springfield; his siblings, Tasha Cooper, Bruce Maffett and Jacob Maffett (Colynthia); his children, Michelle Williams, Joellyn Bivins, Anthony Gray, Chris Gray, Darius Byers (Shovon), Kalena Thomas, Mariah Byers, Jahmyriah Sydnor, Makayla Strayhorn, Shug Spencer, Candice Jones and Joi; his caregiver Kaneitra Hayes; Lenny Hunt. He is also survived by grandchildren, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
