We announce the death of Lucille Elizabeth Smith (Cincinnati, Ohio), born in Addyston, Ohio, who passed away on September 18, 2026, at the age of 82. Lucille will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, Marthena Hopkins and Lilton Hopkins; her husband Ray Smith; and her siblings, Peggy Warmack, Tommy Hopkins and Harriet Reid.
She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Colston; her grandchildren, Leamon Washington, Everett Smith, Amy Smith, Amber Colston, Treasure Byrd and Denaira Davis; her great grandchildren, Olivia Washington, Yadier, Yuri, Yazier Smith, Ameya, Amari Smith, T'Naya, Azariah and Ezekiel Williams; and her sisters, Julia Powell and Connie Washington. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Spring Grove Funeral Homes - Blue Spruce Chapel (4389 Spring Grove Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45223). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Spring Grove Cemetery (4521 Spring Grove Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45232).
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to a local charity in support of hospitality training for young people, honoring Lucille's dedication to nurturing potential in others.
