He was predeceased by: his parents, Mark Jewell and Goldie Jewell; his brother Paul Jewell; his son James Allen Jewell "Chico"; and his grandson Shaquille Jacobsen.
He is survived by: his wife Lori Ann Jewell; his siblings, Billy, Steve, Randy Jewell, Carol Jewell and Wanda Simpson; and his children, Angela Chappelow (Randy), Sherry Jewell, Julie Placke, Katie Kessen (Brandon) and Brady Jacobs. He is also survived by grandfather and great-grandfather.
