She was predeceased by: her husband Robert M. Whalen; and her parents, Harry O'Connor and Loa O'Connor. She is survived by: her children, Mary Sue Jackson (Jim), Mike Whalen, Tim Whalen (Jean), Maureen O'Brien (Kevin), Colleen Lohrer (Mike), Theresa Whalen (Clint Phillips) and Peggy Simmons (Dan); her grandchildren, Nicholas, Erin (Joe), Patrick (Mikaela), Daniel (Rachel), Eric, Tina (Nate), Jason (Madison), Megan (Pat), Evan, Nolan and Callie; and her great grandchildren, Aidan, Connor, Grady, Shea, Emma, Monroe and Madeline. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

If desired, memorials may be directed to McNicholas High School or the charity of the donors choice.
