She was predeceased by: her parents, William Ranz and Elizabeth Ranz. She is survived by: her husband Craig Simonson; and her sisters, Debby, Stacy and Jody.

“We were saddened to learn of Mary's passing. Mary was a lively spirit and excellent teacher at Frost, where I had the opportunity to work with her for 9 years. Her daily entrance to school was a breath of fresh air for both students and staff. Mary not only taught students but she inspired them to want to learn. She was the epitome of live, laugh and love. This is a great loss, but the memories of Mary will always provide us with that presence by which she lived. - Bob and Trena Kelly”
