She was predeceased by: her parents, Hardy Basley and Lucinda Basley; her husband Thomas L. Thomas; her sons, John Basley (Pedro), Claude Bullock, Jr., Robert Bullock and Kenneth Norwood; and her grandchildren, Tyrell Ellington and Christian Basley.
She is survived by: her children, Gloria (Carlos), Barbara (Anthony), Beverly, Gwendolyn, Michelle, Jennifer, Jeanette, Geraldine (Leroy), Freddie, Tyrone, Obie, Michael (Wanda) and Thomas, Jr.; her brother Eddie Basley (Diane); and her daughter-in-law Barbara (Pedro). She is also survived by thirty grandchildren; sixty-nine great grandchildren and ten great great granchildren along with a host of relatives and friends.
