She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Brainard and Katherine Brainard. She is survived by: her children, Catherine Horvath and Alexander J. Horvath, III (Christine); her grandchildren, Jordan, Nathan and Zoe Horvath; her great grandchildren, Adalynn Garcia, Evelyn Garcia and Raelynn Johnson; and her sister Penny Gunderson (Eric). She is also survived by other family members and friends.
