He was predeceased by: his daughter Shawna; his parents, Harland Staat and Geraldine Staat; and his brother Paul. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Staat; his child Mahan; and his siblings, Connie Powell, Gerrie Lamberson, Steven Staat and Timothy Staat. He is also survived by four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
