He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Birkley and Thelma Birkley; and his wife Barbara Birkley. He is survived by: his close friend Barbara Wadsworth; his children, Tina Birkley, Thomas Birkley and Krystal Price; his grandchildren, Taylor Birkley, Hunter Hess, Matthew Hayden and Jonathan Birkley; and his siblings, Kathy Rolsen and Brian Birkley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 16th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the E. C. Nurre Funeral Home (177 W Main St, Amelia, OH 45102). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Peter Church - New Richmond (1192 Bethel-New Richmond Rd, New Richmond, OH 45157).
