He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Irene Hasenfratz; his children, Michael Hasenfratz, Christian Hasenfratz (Monica) and Elisabeth Feiler (Jeff); and his siblings-in-law, Robert and Annamarie Geoppinger. He was also cherished by 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to VITAS Hospice & Palliative Care.
