He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred James Gilligan and Elizabeth Gilligan (Uttermohlen); and his siblings, Dennis Gilligan and Patricia Ann Padden (Gilligan). He is survived by: his wife Geralyn "Gerry" Gilligan (Pettit); his stepchildren, Kaitlyn Weatherly (Blake) and Nicholas Pandzik; and his grandchildren, Adelyn and Mack. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews, and 18 grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
