He was predeceased by: his mother Katharina; his former wife Jeanne Marie Hautz; his wife Mary Ann; his parent August; and his siblings, Arthur Herrmann (Cleta), Howard Herrmann and Helen Finley (Donald).
He is survived by: his children, Nancy Powers (Dan) and James Herrmann (Lisa Staggs); his stepchildren, Beth Wilhite (Denny), James Dyer (Vickie), Kenneth Dyer (Nancy) and Steven Dyer (Stephanie); and his grandchildren, Margaret Herrmann, Erik Herrmann, Stefanie Savage (Peter), Matthew Powers and Jason Powers.
