We announce the death of Milton Waverly Hinton (Cincinnati, Ohio), who passed away on August 22, 2026, at the age of 99. Milton will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Waverly Hinton and Cora Johnson Hinton; and his brothers, John, Earl and Harley Hinton.
He is survived by: his wife Betti Hinton; his children, Milton Hinton Jr. and Milbeth Allen (Delano); his granddaughters, Nia and Kayla Hinton; his cousin Roberta Scott; and his siblings-in-law, Delories Brooks (James), Barbara Baker, Keretha Whitfield, Carolyn Washington, John Jenkins III and Alton Coley Jenkins (Terri). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members, friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Bethel Baptist Church (2712 Alms Pl, Cincinnati, OH 45206). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:30 AM and at 12:00 PM. The military honors was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM at the Spring Grove Cemetery (4521 Spring Grove Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45232). A burial was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
