He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Neal, and Osie Neal, Sr. (Sanders); his son Carey Thompkins; and his siblings, Aileen Reese, Inez Little, Clifford "Red" Neal, Larry Neal and Sylvester Neal.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda; his children, Kisha Kiner (Clifton), Odell Neal, Cody Falings, De'Angelo Boynton, Brian Welch, Brandi Welch and Brielle Welch; and his siblings, Albert Neal, Jr., Betty Solomon, Ronald Neal (Laura) and Albert Neal (Mary). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, grandchildren, other relatives, and dear friends.
