He was predeceased by: his brother-in-law George Palioyras; his parents, Vasilios Makris and Aspasia Makris; and his brother Nikolaos. He is survived by: his wife Harriet "Haudi" Makris; his children, Aspasia Makris and Gregory Makris (Deja Burress); his siblings, Maria (Strattos), Elias (Demetria), Xritstodoulos (Mariana), Annetta (late Vasilios), Elefeteria (Kosta) and Stefanis (Carlene); and his sibling-in-law Anthi Jerow (Randy). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
