She was predeceased by: her siblings, Gwendolyn Johnson (Curly), Surtina Alexander, Sandra Johnson and William Johnson; her children, Carlos Laten and Tamika Laten; her siblings' children, Jessica "Buffy" Johnson and Marcellous Scott; and her stepsons, Kareem Carr and Mykel Turner.
She is survived by: her husband Manuel Carr; her children, Shaquanna Hines, Robert Laten and Thadeus Laten; her stepchildren, Manuel Carr Jr. and Jade Carr; her stepsiblings, Dominic Bradshaw, Doris Hines of Memphis and Laverne "Cookie" Smith of Memphis; her aunt Ora L. Bridges (Georgia); her sibling's children, Jacqueline Johnson-Wilkinson, Jamella Johnson, Marquella Scott, Maurice Scott, Brandon Johnson, Thomas Gray, Antonio Gray and Jamon Jordan; and her grandchildren, Markel Barnett, Ka'syra Monday and Ke'Shon Monday. She is also survived by great nieces and great nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
