It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Patricia A. Berning of Cincinnati, Ohio, who passed away on February 20, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ginny Passmore and Charlie Passmore; and her granddaughter Tiffany Smith. She is survived by: her husband Jim L. Berning; her sons, Kevin Berning (Hope), Mark Berning (Francie), Brian Berning (Christy) and Greg Berning; her sister Pam Venable (Chuck); her niece Erin Mollaun (Tod); and her close friend Carol Litkenhaus. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friends of Batahola, in honor of Pat Berning's legacy of love, compassion, and service. You can mail donations to The Friends of Batahola P.O. “To the Berning Family: Pat is pain free and now in Heaven laughing with everyone there. She helped so many people who had cancer and other illnesses that I imagine she will always be surrounded with many good souls. She raised a beautiful family and lived her life to the fullest with her happy personality. Although she will be very much missed here she is never far from her family. She is enjoying her well deserved time in Heaven. I have many happy memories of her as do many others.”
