We are sad to announce that on August 26, 2023, at the age of 78, Pete Gettes (Cincinnati, Ohio), born in Norfolk, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his son Harry Gettes Sr. (Shirley Houser Gettes Thompson); his father Harold Thompson Sr.; his siblings, Gary Thompson (Marlyn), Gerald Gettes (Lyn), Harold Thompson Jr. (Sue), Bonnie Gettes Hook (late Ernie Hook) and Verda Gettes; his son Tony Gettes (Karen); and his great grandchild Eisley Rae Iding.
He is survived by: his wife Rita Pearcy Gettes; his siblings, Mildred Thompson Kruse (Bob), Bobby Thompson (Terri) and Kimberly Thompson Melchion (late Tony); his grandchildren, Amanda Gettes Iding (Ryan) and Ashley Gettes Sharp (Spencer); and his great grandchildren, Ellie Iding, Easton Iding, Eli Iding and Elsie Sharp. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
