It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Philetus S. Simms (Cincinnati, Ohio), born in Springfield, Kentucky, who passed away on April 30, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon F. Simms and Delena Simms Brooks (Barber); his siblings, John Barber Simms, Alexander Simms, Florence Simms Cambron and Gail Simms Ogburn; and his brother-in-law James Ogburn.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah; his children, Aaron (Melissa), Matthew (Mayra) and Allison Parmiter (Robert); his grandchildren, Marisabel, Robbie, Diego, Kyle and Tessa; his siblings, Leon F. Simms Jr. (Sandy) and Madeleine Grayson (Wendell); his brother-in-law Fabian Cambron; and his aunt Catherine Barber. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces.
In lieu of flowers Phil's wishes were to support the Oak Hills Education Association, Maslow's Army or Matthew 25 Ministries.
