He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Schmitt and Joan Schmitt. He is survived by: his wife Kristen Schmitt; his children, Alexis Jones (Tristan), Erika Schmitt and Philip Schmitt, Jr.; his granddaughter Cora Jones; and his siblings, Roger Schmitt (Susan), Robert Schmitt and Thomas Schmitt (Mary). He is also survived by in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church (8645 Kenwood Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45242). A memorial service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
