She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Gooch and Kathryn Brown; her sisters, Loretta Lewis and Anna Jean Carroll; and her brothers-in-law, Walter Lewis and Marvin Carroll.
She is survived by: her children, Ernest Carrier (Vickie) and Stephanie James (Guy); her grandchildren, Brittany Teegarden-Butts (Jimmy) and Steven Sylvester, Jr. (Nikki); her great grandchildren, Noah, Selah Grace and Silas; and her extended family, Zoey and Lennon. She is also survived by other family members and friends.
