He was predeceased by: his wife Wanda Lee Spears (Meece); his parents, Earl D. Spears and Ruthie Mae Spears; his siblings, William Hershel, Travis Denzel, James Garfield, Doie Ray, Betty Joe and Wanda Sue; his grandson Bryan Micheal Morrett; and his nephew Michael Lee Spears.

He is survived by: his children, Kimberly Kay Fetters (Jeffrey), Karyn Lynnette (John) and Russell Lee. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one on the way, two brothers and two sisters, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Neidhard Young Funeral Home (7401 Hamilton Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45231). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, August 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM and at 12:00 PM at the Arlington Memorial Gardens (2145 Compton Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45231).
