He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sons, Hoyt Wayne Hammitt and Kenneth James Hammitt (Melissa Anne); his grandchildren, Zachary Wayne Hammitt, Alexandra Nicole Ballard, Anna Marie Cheatum and Jonathon Mark Hoerst; his great grandchildren, Parker, Lane, Coleson, Braelynn, Keegan, Reed, Gia, James and Olivia; his brothers, Richard Lee Hammitt and William Edgar Hammitt (Sally); and his nephews, Christopher, Jeremiah and Forrest Hammitt. He was also cherished by other relatives and friends.

Memorials may be made to the SPCA in honor of Ralph's love for cats, 11900 Conrey Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45249.
