Randall L. Roots Obituary
We are sad to announce that on September 23, 2025, at the age of 68, Randall L. Roots (Cincinnati, Ohio) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Randall may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his son Tyler W. Roots; and his parents, Irie E. Roots and Shirley R. Roots. He is survived by: his child Season N. Arevalo (Ray); his grandchildren, Mason, Milana and Oscar Arevalo; and his brother James E. Gary (Linda). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hodapp Funeral Homes - Carthage (7401 Vine St, Cincinnati, OH 45216). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oak Hill Cemetery (11200 Princeton Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45246).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the SPCA.
