He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Gegner and Thelma Gegner. He is survived by: his sister Barbara Gegner Thompson; his nephew Kurt Thompson (Amy); his great-nephew Trenton Thompson (Kayla); his niece Lori Thompson Dolwick (Brad); his great-nephew Kyle; his great-niece Courtney; Tobias.

Memorial donations can be made to Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.
