He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Ruby Mae and Carl Gross; his wife Christel J. Gross; his daughter Laura Jean Gross; and his nieces and nephews, Terry McFarland (Rachele), Ric McFarland (Shelley Goering) and Tracey Marshall.

Dick had a special place in his heart for animals, especially dogs, and he'd be very pleased if donations were made in his memory to Best Friends or the SPCA of Cincinnati.
