He was predeceased by: his father John Kemme; his wife Mary Ann "Mitzi" Kemme; his daughter Lisa Kemme; and his siblings, Rita Wagner, William "Bill" Kemme (Claire) and John "Jack" Kemme.

He is survived by: his children, Richard Todd Kemme (Charlene), Marianne Tepe (John) and Laura Hudson (Jay); his grandchildren, Marianne, Caroline Kemme, Jonathan, Maria Tepe, Jeffrey and Matthew Gardner (Cassidie); his great grandchildren, Colton and Mackenzie Gardner; and his siblings, Claire Schultze and Barbara Hoffmeister.
