She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Newman. She is survived by: her children, Ken and Suzanne; her grandsons, Ken II and Kevin (Katlin); her great grandchildren, Eleanor, Ezra, Lukas and Isla; Terri Newman.
As a two-time cancer survivor, she was active in the American Cancer Society's Reach-to-Recovery program for many years earning a Lifetime Achievement Award.
