He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Rabe and Alberta "Catherine" Rabe; and his siblings, Deanna Caudy (Allen), Shirley Holtgrefe (Frank) and Ronald Rabe (Joyce).
He is survived by: his wife Clare Rabe; his children, Catherine Miller (Jason), Michelle Blackburn (Jerry), Laurie Miller (Jeff) and Robert Rabe Jr. (David "Sean" Cronan); his grandchildren, Dakota Neff, Alexandria Miller, Nicholas Miller, Aaron Sandker, Emma Sandker, Clare Hotchkiss (Jared) and Nathaniel Miller; his great grandchild Alexander Hotchkiss; his siblings, Howard Rabe (Geraldine), Donald Rabe (Nancy), Marilyn Ulm (Gordon), Laura Rabe and Charlene Briede (late Bill); and his close friend Christopher Hall. He is also survived by extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter in Chains (325 W 8th St, Cincinnati, OH 45202). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
