It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sherry Ruth Schlager of Cincinnati, Ohio, who passed away on February 6, 2026, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Hochscheid and Ruth Hochscheid; her husband Lawrence "Bill" Schlager; her daughter Connie Jean Gaiser Harper (late Billy Harper); and her sister Joyce Hochscheid Peters.
She is survived by: her child Jody Rivera (Todd) of Harrison; her grandchildren, Lucas (Jordan), Jacob (Paris), Rachel Rivera of Harrison and Sara V. Cunningham of Atlanta, Georgia; her stepgrandchildren, Jennifer and Dana of Nashville; her great grandchild Leila Wolf; her sister Charlene Fineran of Woodbury; and her friends, Joann and Ken Cunningham of Spartanburg. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church of Mt. Healthy, 1553 Kinney Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45231, for Lutheran World Relief Projects of which Sherry was a member for 20 years and First Presbyterian Church in Harrison.
