He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Doherty; his son Tommy Doherty; his parents, Louis Doherty and Dolores Doherty; and his sister Mary Lou Briggs.
He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Dahlstrom (Bob), Kathleen Crable (Dan), Beth Doherty (Tim Miller), Cindy Doherty and Amy Eckert (John); his grandchildren, Charles (Miranda), Alex (Erika), Meredith (Chris), Patrick, Jack (Abby), Liam, Madelyn, Colin, Erin and Kelly; his brother Jim Doherty; his sister-in-law Linda Wilson; and his sibling's child Kyle Wilson (Michelle). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
