He is survived by: his parents, Gladys (Holzapfel) and Patrick Durkin; his children, Kathleen Kleemeyer (Joshua) and Erin Durkin; his grandchildren, Grant and Grace Kleemeyer; his siblings, Elaine Cullen (late Richard), Michael Durkin (late Cindy) and Linda Langer (Mark); and his siblings' children, Robert Cullen and Christina Bogdan (Langer).

In lieu of flowers, his daughters ask that donations be made in Thomas' name to the Bunbury Players or Mount Carmel St. Ann's Hospital in Westerville, where he received compassionate and loving care.
