He was predeceased by: his parents, William Patt and Frances Patt; his wife Ruth; his children, Lawrence Dale (Larry), Ann Frances, Nancy Evelyn and Michael James; his siblings, Grace Kress (Louis), William (Dottie), Evelyn Kress (Bill), Mildred Patt Brown (Lloyd) and James; and his brother-in-law Eldridge "Pete" Pettus.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas W. (Gina), Bruce J. (Kate Marrone) and Mary Jean; his caregiver Glenn F. (Kim); his grandchildren, Jarrod T. Patt and Emma R. Patt; his sister Sarah Ann Pettus of Loretto, TN; his sister-in-law Bonnie of Lawrenceburg, TN; Miranda Cockrell (Andrew). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
