He was predeceased by: his mother Maureen Ann Habel (Honold) of Cincinnati. He is survived by: his father Robert Edward; his wife Maureen Donnellan Habel; his siblings, Bob Habel, Jr. (Judy), Mike Habel (Lisa), Pat Habel (Jan), Amy Osterman (Jeff), Chris Habel (Angela) and Ali Morin (Dave); his children, Matthew Habel (Carolyn), Madi Habel (Kit), Katherine Habel and Nick Habel; his stepchildren, Ellis Otte and Hillary Maigret (Tom); his grandchildren, Paxton and Hallie Habel; John, James and Mary Maigret.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the H. Rohde & Son Funeral Home (3183 Linwood Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45208). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary Catholic Church (2845 Erie Ave, Cincinnati, OH 45208).
