He was predeceased by: his parents, Hobart Barrett and Nora Powell; his aunt Mary Childers (Powell); his siblings, Burchell, Gerald Barrett and Mary Bowling; and his son-in-law Donald Gardner Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Mary Barrett; his daughters, Pamela Gardner and Lisa Manchester (Mickey); his grandchildren, Bradley Gardner (Genna), Jessica Gardner, Benjamin Manchester (Laura) and Chandler Manchester (Samantha); his great grandchildren, Jacob, Mason, Cameron, Bentley, Jameson and Reese; his niece Karen Shahidi (Hans); and his nephews, Terry Bowling, Edward Craft (Debbie) and David Craft (Sandra).
