He is survived by: his sisters, Betty Williams and Virginia Summers; his close friend Lucille Cook; his children, Brad Buchanan (Barbara), Gwendolyn Y. Hampton (Tony), Rachel Suttles, Rhonda Jackson (Edward), Gregory Jones (Kimberly), April Leigh and Terrance Buchanan; his grandchildren, Chiqita Terry, Shaquita Fisher, Lanisha Youngblood, Sierra Buchanan, Breauhna Buchanan, Jordan Buchanan, Tiffany Buchanan, Jamey Jones, Kris Jones, Kara Campbell, Cameron Jackson and Amber Jackson; and his siblings' children, Leon Rainey, Jr., Ronnie Harris, Ricky Harris, Jessie Parker, Annette Williams, Terry Summers, Sharon Summers, Felicia Williams, Sheila Summers, Jeanine Williams, Lynda Williams, Tina Williams, Dihann Summers, Tony Williams, Victor Summers, Michael Summers and Jeffery Summers. He is also survived by other great nieces, great nephews, family and friends.
