He was predeceased by: his parents, Columbus Long and Redus Saylor Long; his siblings, Bob Long, Jack Long, Michael Todd, Sonja Erickson, Sherry Robbins and Joyce Long; and his grandson Lance Corporal Charles New.
He is survived by: his wife Paula Long (Jones); his children, Brian E. Long (Bridget Lamborn), Russell D. Long (Stacey), Johnny D. Long (Falon Cole) and Angela J. Long; his siblings, Lanny Marsh (Dawn), Rodney Marsh (Chris) and Judy Miles (Warren); his grandchildren, Robert Boomershine (Heather), Nicholas Long (Erica), Kaiden Long, Cole Long, Shane Long, Elise Long, Darrin Long, Jaxon Long, Kyan Long, Gage Cole and Jayden Cole; and his great grandchildren, Christopher Boomershine, Sophia Boomershine, Destiny Boomershine, Charleigh Boomershine, Cayden Boomershine, Lydia Long and Ava Long. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
