He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Sarah VonGries (Joey Otis), Crystal, Kimberly Backscheider, Andy Kabler (Faith) and Rachael Backscheider (Dylan Vanderpool); his grandchildren, Trey, Kylee (John), Brennen (Brittney), Payton, Emily, Nathan, Phalen, Ethan, Raylee, Rylan, Kayden, Jeremy and Zach; his great grandchildren, Taylor, Briella and Lennox; and his siblings, Rocky, Eddie (late Deborah), Janet Sattler, Ted Backscheider, Donna Backscheider and Jimmy Backscheider. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
