He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond B. Welch and Helen K. Welch (Hufford); his son Benjamin B. Welch; and the mother of his children Diane K. Welch. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Welch; his daughter Laura Welch (Mike McCloy); his siblings, Damon Welch (Pam Seavolt) and Sara Mousa (Bruce Mousa); his granddaughter Maeve McCloy; and his nephews, Scot Darby, Dan Welch (Shanda Welch) and Dustin Welch.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Wellman Funeral Home (1455 N Court St, Circleville, OH 43113). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at the Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery (1819 Hitler Rd 1, Circleville, OH 43113).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Byron's memory to Field of Grace Congregational Church, Emmett Chapel, Salem Church of Kingston, or the Emergency Clearinghouse Food Pantry in Circleville.
