He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin D. Knisley and Laura Jean Huffman Knisley; his brother Allan Brooks; his sister-in-law Cynthia Knisley; his parents-in-law, Donald E. Adams and Alma Jean Adams; and his brother-in-law Scott Skinner.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Adams Knisley; his brother Karl Knisley (Carolyn); and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Skinner, Don Adams (Bonnie) and Susan Patterson (Dane).
