He is survived by: his spouse Monna Kay Peters Greenlee; his children, Gregory Greenlee, Eric Greenlee, Lisa Greenlee and Ranae Spires (Rob); his grandchildren, Matthew Greenlee (Meredith), Roy "Alex" Greenlee, Hannah Rush (Jeff), Karrie Greenlee (Logan), Nick Greenlee (Amanda), Jordon Greenlee, Gavin Greenlee, Garrett Greenlee, Clayton Spires (Ashly) and Blake Spires (Lexy); his great grandchildren, Karlie Congrove, Julius Greenlee, Denver Greenlee and Oaklee Spires; his brother Donald W. Greenlee; his nieces and nephews, David Greenlee, James Greenlee, Jeffrey Peters, Elizabeth Ellis, Jennifer Wellington and Susan Roy; and his friend John Huffman.

“I am so saddened to hear of Richard's passing. My thoughts, and prayers go out to his wonderful family. I was a student of Richard's classes in Shaolin Tiger Kung Fu in the early 80's. I was the 2nd woman in the state of Ohio to earn my black belt in this system and the first in Pickaway county. Richard's wisdom in the self defense helped me with empowerment. For the following 20 years I taught women self defense, utizing all the skills he taught me. Kathleen M (Stewart) Thomas”
