With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Roderick Shasteen of Circleville, Ohio, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Roderick left this world on June 7, 2025 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. As Roderick departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Roderick may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Roderick leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Shasteen and Gertrude Shasteen (Parks). He is survived by: his wife Saundra Fay Shasteen (Lindsey); his children, Robin Cornwell (Paul), Brett Shasteen (Joy Smith) and Ty Shasteen (Kelly); his brother Jerry Shasteen (Elva); and his nieces, Mindy Shasteen and Kim Ball (Kevin). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Wellman Funeral Home (1455 N Court St, Circleville, OH 43113). A burial will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at the Heavenly Hills Cemetery.
