He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Herron and Helen Herron (Stout); his wife Betty Herron (Conrad); and his siblings, Jerry, Richard Herron and Bernie Moats.
He is survived by: his children, Tim (Tammy Cunningham), Tammy Davis (Andy Spurlock) and Todd Herron (Julie); his stepdaughter Elaine Evans; his grandchildren, Trisha, Tommy, Amanda, Ashley and Liko; and his siblings, Bev Tatman (Randy), Ted Herron and Charlene Coates. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
