He was predeceased by : his parents, Stephen A. Gary and Donna Anderson Gary; his wife Judith A. Gary; his son Christopher G. R. Gary; his brother Gregory K. Gary; and his sister-in-law Lisa Gary.

He is survived by : his son Charles "CJ" Gary; his sister Rebecca Dixon (Don); his niece Jessica Biggers (Matt); and his great-nieces, Eleanor, Abigail and Margaret.
