He was predeceased by: his father Penrod Helmick. He is survived by: his mother Sue Helmick; his wife Sherri; his siblings, Wendy Farmer (Jeff), Jody Henry (John) and Matt Helmick (Kristy); his siblings' children, Zoe, Matthew, Jazmyn and Andy; and his caregivers, Milissa and Linda.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith Ignited Church (faithignited.church) or Ohio's Hospice of Dayton.
