It is with sadness that the passing of Royace D. Shirley of Clayton, Ohio is shared. Royace, born on December 11, 1946 in Sparta, Tennessee, passed away on October 11, 2026. He was predeceased by: his parents, Curtis Shirley and Bertha Winnett (Rice); his brothers, Curtis Shirley and Wayne Shirley; his siblings-in-law, Judy Shirley and Richard Roof; and his in-laws, John Miller (Irene) and George Clark (Juanita).
He is survived by: his wife Deb Shirley; his sons, Brian P. Shirley (Shanna) and Jason M. Shirley; his granddaughter Kylyn Lewis; his great grandchild Hayden Lewis; his sisters-in-law, Karen O'Meara (John), Marsha Roof, Kimberly Baird (Joe) and Chris Shirley; and his pets, Sassy and Cooper. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home (4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
