He was predeceased by: his wife Amelia Consuelo Prcela; and his siblings, Paul (Giuliana), Vjera, Maria Milanovic Litre (Ivan), Ante Bonaventure, Martin (Ljubica) and David (Lucia).
He is survived by: his children, Maria Prcela-Jackson (Michael), Joseph Prcela (Laura), Anita Giusto (Chris) and Teresita Shepherd (Kevin); his grandchildren, Kristina (Kevin), Melyssa, Alena, Benjamin, John, Luke, Charlie and Jesse; and his sister Cecilia Barac (late Ante). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of John can be made to the family to fund the publication of his final St. Joseph book.
