He was predeceased by: his parents, Merle Speer and Melba Speer. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Susan Speer Zenn (Michael), Ellen Speer Davis (Gary) and Robert Speer (Adalynn); his sister Marlyn Gilbert; his grandchildren, Andrew, Erica Zenn, Bobby Davis (Daniella), Michael Davis, Alexandra Davis Ruben (James) and Ari Speer; and his great grandchildren, Nellie Davis and Suzie Davis.
A memorial service was held on Wednesday, May 6th 2026 at 1:30 PM at the Congregation Mishkan Or (26000 Shaker Blvd, Shaker Heights, OH 44122).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard's memory to a charity of your choice or one that reflects his love of community and family.
