He was predeceased by: his wife Dr. Anca Valeriu; and his siblings, Alexandru and Margareta. He is survived by: his daughter Ioana Valeriu; his son-in-law Michael; his nieces, Ruxandra and Lisandra; and his great-niece Alma.
