He was predeceased by: his father William "Bernie" Payne Jr.; and his aunts and uncles, Charlotte Brown, Noreen Payne, Mary Lawrence, Mildred Dixon, Joann Sawyer, Felton Dixon, Quinn Lawrence and Bill Brown.
He is survived by: his mother Delores Johns-Payne; his siblings, Shelley Payne-Pittman and Marvin Payne; his aunts, Bernice Johns and Betty Pennoh; and his cousins, Dennis Johns, Nancy Walker, Willie Lawrence, Taryn Lawrence, Luisa Johns, Louis and Kevin Brown. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and grandchildren.
